Recreational
touring kayaks are two to three feet longer then basic recreational
boats. They have slightly less rocker, making them easier to keep
paddling in a straight line but harder to turn. They are slightly
wider and much more user friendly then full on sea kayaks. They
one or two night trips a possibility but are best suited for day
touring. These boats are great for the novice paddler who wants
to Sea Kayak but does not want to deal with the instability and
low manueverability of a high performance sea kayak.

Necky's Recreational Touring Kayaks are, simply shorter, more manueverable versions of their full sized sea kayaks. They will have very similar paddling characteristics to the longer thinner boats. They will be easier to turn and much more stable. |
Sun kayaks are slightly shorter and more manueverable then Nekcy's rec-touring boats. They are designed as all around open water/whitewater crossover boats. These boats are as close as there is to a do everything boat. |
