Over
30 years ago Mad River Canoes began life in a woodshed on Jim Henry's property
in Waitsfield, Vermont. Jim won the 1971 National Whitewater Canoe Championship
in the Malecite, their first canoe. Since that time Mad River Canoes have been
all over the planet; down Arctic Rivers, across the border country, through the
wildest whitewater, on duck ponds in every paddler's back yard. We are proud to
have them at our shop.

~ ~ ~ All Mad River Canoes are available with the IQ or IQ2 gunwale
system. The IQ System is a modular aluminum gunwale system which allows the addition
of sprayskirts, lash systems, dry bags, and adjustable seats. The IQ2 is vinyl.
It does everything the IQ system will do except allow you to adjust the seats.
Spraycovers on canoes cut the wind, and keep the waves out of your canoe. Designed
for big water paddling. As always, we have water nearby. Come
on down and test paddle. |
